Therapy for Individuals
We all experience times in our lives when things feel like they are getting on top of us and sometimes it can feel very overwhelming and stressful. Often friends and family provide a listening ear but often try to solve our problems when all we need is the time and space to do this ourselves and in a way that works best for us as an individual.
Often, we don’t even like to discuss our true thoughts and worries with people in our lives for fear of being judged or because we feel guilty for worrying about these things.
If you would like a safe and non-judgemental space to discuss any issues, no matter how small, or just a safe area to be able to openly discuss your thoughts and feelings, then counselling may be able to provide this for you.
Common issues that therapy can help with include:
- Sex addiction
- Pornography addiction
- Love addiction
- Co-Dependency issues
- Depression
- Life issues
- Stress
- Financial issues
- Issues with children/ step-children
- Family issues
- Loss of direction in life
- Other Behavioural or substance addictions
- Self esteem and body image issues
- Loneliness
- Sexual Identity issues
- Communication issues
- Intimacy issues
- Jealousy and trust issues
- Bereavement
- Career issues
- Anxiety and worry
- OCD
- Hoarding
- Decluttering and Organising
This list is a small example of some of the things that bring people to counselling. However, each and every person has their own issues and worries, all of which can be discussed. Additionally, some people find themselves experiencing a feeling of unease and anxiety without being able to explain why, this is also something that we can explore during counselling.
The Caesura Centre also specialises in couples counselling and so if you feel that your partner may also benefit from some counselling, either alone or in shared sessions, please see the Therapy for Couples page for further information.
We work with Heterosexual, Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender and other sexual diversity couples and individuals.
